Everything Will Change

We never really go back, 100%, to how things were after events like this. It really impacts things on a level that sets new parameters, opens new doors, that once we walk through, are hard to go back on. None of us will feel inclined to waste toilet paper, or PPS in the future.
Front line workers who already thought they were stretched beyond capacity at times, find themselves stretching even farther in ways that once seemed unfathomable. Companies who would have never allowed working from home before, made haste to make this happen so very quickly, and are discovering it’s not the end of the world. But those who are hands on, face-to-face, serving those who are struck by this virus experience a whole new world. One where everyone is asked to stay home, except them. They had already accepted work that put them regularly in harms way, but this is a different kind of threat. One that has taken lives of helpers and shut down the whole world in a way we couldn’t have imagined. Everything has changed, and we hope our new normal will at least be somewhat familiar to us.
