Solitary Tree

Taken on my daily stroll around my village. Looking on my OS map, the area around where I took this is called Hanging Fall which is adjacent to Hanging Fall Wood with Fall Top Quarry behind.

I can’t find any info on the internet about where these names come from so I’m presuming they are just referring to the lie of the land. Also at the top of a near-by lane (which is also very steep) lies Fall Top Farm so this sort of bears this theory out.

My new buddy “Scruff” the horse was there again and came over to let me stroke him. I’ll have to take an apple for him the next time I do the walk.

The rest of my day was taken up doing Lego, eating, watching telly and chatting online to Sal and finally sleeping!
