Things I love #2

Geek Stuff
As it was the type of day where nothing much happened (in fact the kids haven't even changed out of their PJs), it seemed like a good time to continue this occasional series which could become a useful emergency blip resource. I've grouped a few together today though. Here are some of my treasured geekly possessions:
- Action figures of Agent Scully in XFiles movie outfit and Dr Evil from Austin Powers. Mulder is around the house somewhere, but as you can see I'm not precious about these figures. I can't be that much of a geek because I actually believe that they should be played with (by my kids at least!) rather than boxed up.
- The Lord of the Rings figures do tend to stay in their box however. Can you see where we got our baby's name - Arwen - from now?!
- Also there is a Teddy bear that has been assimilated into the Borg collective and was bought after going on the amazing Star Trek Experience at the old Hilton hotel in Vegas. The hotel is long gone, but the Borg survives.
-Star Wars box set. Only episodes 4-6 of course!
- Finally there's a photo taken at one of the Sci Fi conventions I've attended. This one was a Buffy/Angel one and I had my picture taken with all of the actors and crew. It's a bit of a poignant photo as the guy sitting next to me, Andy Hallett, has since sadly passed away. He was the life and soul of the party at those conventions and a thoroughly lovely chap. Also on the photo are a couple of actors who went on to fame elsewhere: Julie Benz, who came to a sticky end in Dexter; and Vincent Kartheiser who is now in the show Mad Men.
