Painting the picture
Putting the finishing touches to a corned beef and potatoe pie I've just made. This is a beaten egg being brushed on it. The contents of the pie consists of a tin of corned beef chopped up,1 small onion finely diced, also peeled boiled potatoes mashed with a knob of butter and a generous shake of white pepper. Bring it all together in a large mixing bowl giving it a good mash. Thats you filling. Pastry is short crust bought in a frozen block, leave to thaw, cut in half for the top and bottom then roll out to the size of your pie plate. Easy peazy, cook at 180 until golden brown.
