Another 2 h walk in the forest. We experienced a huge gorgeous marsh and beautiful lake, and lots of trees with plenty beard lichen. This lichen is a sign of clean air. As children we used to use these are false beards. When I was a teenager, they just vanished from the forests due to air pollution, but now they have returned. In fact they returned I guess twenty years ago.

The shockingnnews of today was that Adam Schlesinger had passed away. A genius songwriter for the Fountains of Wayne - check their melodic music if you have not done so already.

The nostalgic song is a great example of their music. They manage to include Christopher Walken in the lyrics. R.I.P Adam Schlesinger!
