Govetts Leap

I witnessed Govetts Leap as I have never seen it before this morning.  I ventured into town to check my mail and had to wait an hour for the girls to sort it as they had been overwhelmed with customers early on.  I decided I would drive down and see if the Fairfax Track was open and to my delight it was.  No cars were allowed down though and the gates were across the road.  It’s 3.6km’s return to the lookout so off I went.  When I arrived at Govetts Leap there was not a solitary soul in site.  It was quite eerie really.  I thought at one stage that I felt like I was the only person left alive on the planet.  I’m not sure I’ll do the walk again, at least not until I have some company.  It was a bit spooky all round but guess what, the view was still just as spectacular.
