Daffodils

Can't let the Spring go by without posting some daffs. The villagers tell me, that years ago they planted thousands of daffodils along the main road through the village.  By main road I mean the B5284, it's not exactly a busy main road.   And very lovely it looks now from all their hard work . We continue to stay in doors and walk out from our house. Mr P decided to while away the day walking 6 km along footpaths to the village of Staveley, our closest chemist, to get his prescription and 6 km back again. on different paths. Normally he would be too busy to spend half a day picking up a prescription.

And at 8:00pm we went out of the front door and clapped with our neighbours in our little hamlet, for the NHS, chemists, teachers and all the folks that are doing essential work now.  The sheep were startled, we did our bit and got to shout to the neighbours over the fence.

Day 18
569 UK deaths, about the same as yesterday. Matt Hancock, the Health Secretary committed to 100,000 tests a day by the end of the month. It will be interesting to see if they achieve this .  UK industry is getting a huge boost designing and making protective clothing, ventilators and virus tests because it seems we got this stuff from abroad before.
