Above us only sky

2002m above sea level in the French Alps - above the cloud and the falling snow - and the most amazing view of my holiday. Amazing because as we made our way down the piste into the first level of cloud, that partial rainbow you can see turned into a rainbow the whole way around the sun. Yes, the whole way around, like a colourful halo around the bright white sun.

It was one of life's WOW moments.

So wow that we all stumbled down the piste a bit as we saw it! We paused for a while just to soak up the incredible and very unusual sight. I'm sure you can imagine how lucky we were (you'll have to as it was too cold to get my camera out in that cloud!).
