Fiery Red Robin

Took part in the Joe Wicks workout this morning. We're looking to do three out of the five each week. Today's (or rather Thursdays as we were didn't want to wait until the live session at 9.00 am) was the hardest so far although the impact on our legs does not seem as severe as on Tuesday. We wait to see how we will feel in the morning.

The rest of the morning was taken up by tasks taken from the long list of things that have been on a list for a long time. While Susan ironed (she gets all the good jobs) I sanded down and painted the conservatory's hardwood windowsills. Another coat tomorrow.

Today's blip was taken at the end of our road with the bright sun lighting up the vivid red of new growth on some Red Robin. It looked wonderful. Our walk this afternoon took us to the top of the North Downs to Thurnham Castle, which deserves a blip of its own. Only the second time we've been to the Castle in 40 years of living here.

As we were walking up the steep hill to the top of the Downs three cars passed us on this dead-end road. At the top they were parked. We're sure two of the cars belonged to young people who did not live together and were out for a meeting. Difficult times for people who are in a relationship and are not living in the same house.
