Pe with Joe

Brought Chloe into our bed at about 5 and she'd been awake with Ben earlier in the night, she definitely knows when I'm due in work!!
Thomas did fancy dress pe with Joe wicks this morning, and then had a lovely day with daddy and Chloe - he told me about it when I got in from work (although he should have been asleep!!)
They have played outside, watched the virtual Chester zoo videos, made some finger puppets, played some maths games and did some spellings.

I have been at work today. I had some training this morning to refresh on the ventilator, taping ET tubes and patients on inotropes etc. Then I went to another training session on the differences between drugs used in adults and paediatrics. The whole hospital has a weird atmosphere. Our unit has changed beyond recognition, paeds icu now stands empty awaiting adult covid admissions. Paeds hdu has relocated to another ward, and paeds icu is now where hdu used to be. We, as Paediatric nurses, will now be expected to care for adult patients, which is quite a scary prospect.
I phoned mum on the way home, and she is coming to join us next week on another ward in the hospital. Because I work in critical care she won't be coming to icu, which will hopefully spare her from caring for adult patients!
