Another one bites the dust

There used to be a tree in the gap!

Our busy day started with swimming lessons followed by cleaning out the chickens with lily. Carolyn went off to do the food shop with Ally while Bella and I split and stacked some of the oak logs. Next was a start on an old pile of branches at the bottom of the garden from a tree chopped down last year. Carolyn came home and we all started work at the bottom of the garden. It was nice leisurely stuff untill Carolyn noticed that one of the big trees was being blown out of the ground. Every time there was a gust of wind the trea leant over and the roots lifted out of the ground!

What followed was a frantic tree felling, chopping and stacking session. We just about got it done before dusk and the pouring rain. Tea and baths are now done, next clearing the kitchen before a relax infront of the telly, and possibly an early night.
