Social Distancing

A real chill in the air today but we all sat outside, a good distance apart, when my sister and her partner came around to collect the bread my husband had baked them.

Wasn’t it lovely to have some visitors, albeit one more than is officially permitted! We made plans to catch up with online board games but the servers seem very busy.

Major mishap with the food processor. In my impatience to slice cucumbers quickly for lunch, I neglected to include the spindle, rendering the food processor inoperable and slicing off a bit of my thumb when I tried to pull it apart.

Light duties for the rest of the day as a result - a skype visit to my parents, the last episode of Wolf Hall, houseparty (app) with two of my sisters and my niece, a start on The Weekend (very good), words with friends with my brother (crushing me in a revenge match). Out briefly with my hubby for a walk to the postbox, not as bitter as we expected.

Delicious wagyu steak for dinner, followed by the last of the chocolate cake.
