Mill Dam on the Fithie

A bright day and sun in the afternoon

We went for a 4.1 mile walk in the afternoon, along country roads which we drive along regularly. It is amazing how much more you see when walking, as well as the smells and sounds which you miss when in the car. The only downside was the amount of rubbish caught up in the verges and hedgerows. I am sure it wasn’t as bad before.

We passed this Mill Dam at Burnside of Duntrune. An alternative classification is a Weir and Sluice, although it is not known when it was built.

We arrived home feeling tired, but well exercised.
