RSPB annual bug garden bird watch

An annual weekend event where the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds asks members if the public to count the numbers of bird visitors to their gardens over a one hour period. When returned to them the information is returned gives a snap shot of bird numbers in different areas.

Reported in today's BBC news, well over half a million people will submit their results making the bird watch one of the world's largest wildlife surveys.

Have got the papers out to do our watch tomorrow - though today might have been a better day as it was dry and rain is forecast for all day tomorrow.
