Coming to join the party

Today we started a week long holiday and first stop was the Wetland and Wildlife Trust at Washington.

There are lots of geese and ducks to be seen but always a favourite are the White Faces Whistling ducks. They have a three note whistling call which sounds a bit like 'wee wee hoo'; they are so sweet. We also like the Nene geese which will feed out of your hand and you can tickle their chin. All the birds seemed very hungry today which was good as we purchased several bags of food for them.
