Why . . . have they got their humans on leads?!

A great walk along a windswept beach this afternoon with good friends Hilary and Julie, and their dogs, Lottie, Kate and Leo.

Kate and Ollie were the only ones allowed off their leads. Ollie doesn't venture far afield, and Kate is so old, with poor sight and hearing, that she bumbles along and couldn't run away if she did want to! Leo, the Chihuahua, and Lottie, the lurcher, are both fiends for running away, so instead they contented themselves with causing chaos by weaving themselves round the rest of us with their leads! I did toy with putting Ollie on his and we could have improvised a type of Maypole Dance . . . .

Great fun was had by all, followed by coffee and chocolate biscuits!
