Rugby pitches at the Canal Park, Inverness.
Not the most brilliant day. Busy at work, so looking forward to a break at lunchtime. Quick check on the Internet, and was somewhat taken aback by what I considered some distinctly acerbic words from an unknown person. Bit of investigation, and replied with a perhaps overly diplomatic response. Was very tempted to do otherwise. Lunchtime Blip hunt cancelled.
Long swim tonight after work. I swim so much better when not cycling every workday. Haven't used the bike for a couple of weeks now. Coming out of the pool, I heard shouts from the rugby club folk doing their training, and saw the spotlights. Still no Blip at this point. Tripod in car, another bonus of not cycling, I thought, "Hmm, how about a long exposure of blurry rugby players running about, like ghosts?" Needless to say, once I'd got everything together, and wandered over there, they decided to call it a night. I know there's litter in the foreground. I thought only very briefly about moving to avoid it, then decided, record it as it is, warts and all.
Camera did the strange blue thing with one of three images taken (first noted a couple of nights ago). The settings were all identical, and I'd set the white balance to a value other than Auto, so that's one thing ruled out. It's only done it with this lens. The only thing fractionally changed between the three shots was the point of focus. More experimenting required.
Could do without another, "not quite right" camera. Needing a wee part to repair my regular film camera, and still not convinced that the (cheap damaged secondhand) D300 is quite right. Indeed the only one that's working best is the oldest, and the only one bought new... discontinued model, so it was relatively cheap.
