Yellowhammer #39

So, we decided to go back to see the yellowhammers this afternoon and managed to find a couple. One was happy to sit around for a few minutes, albeit in amongst and behind some brambles, but he was rather lovely. The other kept flitting around and I didn’t get any decent shots of that one. We did our 3 miles quite late in the afternoon to try and avoid people and apart from a few couples out walking like us, we didn’t see too many. The footpath is plenty wide enough to be more than the required 2m away so we felt quite safe. 

This morning I spent quite a bit of time watching and listening to the birds in our garden. Birdsong really is beautiful when you listen properly and cheers me up no end :)
