Giving Thanks

Beautiful flowers at a Thanksgiving Service for a lovely lady of great faith, who had been very involved in church worship for many years. A talented pianist, she introduced us to new songs, sometimes bringing groups together and teaching us four part harmonies.

We sang several of her favourites some new, some old, including Psalm 23 :
Goodness and mercy all my life
Shall surely follow me;
And in God's house forevermore,
My dwelling place shall be.


I was also struck by these words at the end of the Order of Service :-

I have fought the fight,
I have finished the race,
I have kept the faith.
