Day 12: The Walker
Twelve days into New Zealand’s nationwide lockdown. Our Prime Minister and various Health officials are cautiously optimistic that the current Level Four requirements are working.... towards beating the Covid-19 virus. Almost all people are playing by the rules and staying safely at home except for getting out for local exercise as I do with my early morning walks.
It’s rather nice to start out walking in daylight. Maisie and I left home before the sun rose. We headed for the Pony Club grounds alongside the river. This section of the river is still dry which allows us to cross it when we got to the Burleigh Bridge. Not far from there we met Ken, walking his dog. We had a chat, whilst keeping the two metre distance from each other.
