Clematis alpina

A friend gave me a lovely piece of driftwood when she moved house a few years ago. She had found it on the beach and her family had carried it home for her.
I put a large oil jar shaped pot next to it and the Clematis climbs up happily. It's against a South facing wall and I'm pleased to say that it likes it there
