Redbud

The redbuds are blooming up and down the streets around here. The trees often bloom on their trunks and main branches, which (I looked it up) is called cauliflory. Redbuds are in the legume family and produce clusters of beanpods in the Fall. With these trees blooming and the dogwoods starting to come out, it's colorful around here. 

I talked with my mom and stepdad today. They're doing fine where they live in Bellevue, outside of Seattle. Saw my friend Laura at a distance, in person for the first time in weeks. She had made us some masks and shared some blueberry cake. :) Also picked up Ed's groceries today.
