3000 every quarter of a second

We watched Fiona this afternoon while her parents could escape to a movie; she wanted to go to the "dinosaur museum" --so... that's easy, that's where we went.
(the Burke Museum). We played with the dinosaurs but also spent time in the new plastics exhibit where there were plastic toys to play with. and lots of tips on what products are recycled and how to do it. and what will happen to the stuff that doesn't get recycled.
I think this "illustrated" image is more fun than the "real" thing . The nearby sign to this wall read "3000 plastic bags are used every quarter of a second in the United States. More than 25 US cities have banned these bags successfully." (Includes Seattle)

I've added my little haiku poem to my OneStreet for yesterday...it just didn't happen then...
