Lockdown Day 15: we’re starting the third week of lockdown, the fourth week working from home. We took a longer walk today, taking us along nearby roads rather than just round our block. The roads were still quiet enough to use as an extended pavement when passing people.

The sourdough starter appears to have failed, as the batch of dough I tried today didn’t rise at all. There’s a smell coming off the starter - I’ve found that a sour smell is normal, but I’m not sure if this is the wrong side of sour. I’ll need to get more flour before trying again.
