Hitching a ride

Had to get some ingredients for soup-making (to be taken to some local vulnerable people) but didn't need much so combined it with a cycle. 3=miles there, 20 mins queue, 5 mins in the shop and 8+ miles home. Though I couldn't get ham stck cubes, it's been a month since I could, there are nearly enough left and some veg ones to make up.
In the afternoon I was in the garden emptying a compost heap, hauling out lily of the valley and finding these snails. We also had to put the new arch back up after it blew down, I'm waiting for something to fix it but it will be more than a week so I hope we don't get more wind that is stronger than the guys I've improvised.
