Garden Grandeur

I've had these shrubs growing against the fence for a while and it was getting impossible to mow around so decided to put in a brick edging and fill it with bark. My holiday starts tomorrow and I wanted to get it underway today. Little did I know that I would "knock the bugger off!!"

I've added the kowhai. It was a seedling from Jim & Monica (the in-laws) that my dearly beloved begrudgingly let me bring home last weekend. Now she wants another one at the other end of the garden for "balance".
