Moon
The moon has to crest the mountain ridge to our right to become visible. Lots of clouds spoiled the view, but I rather liked its elusiveness.
Morning newspaper headline : CASES FALL BUT NO ALL-CLEAR
Also : Quarantine of visitors lacks enforcement
And : Mayor criticized for resuming Sherwood project - Monday morning a construction crew arrived at the park with excavator. Protestors showed up, no arrests, but police issued two citations. The Mayor says "In some ways it's the proper time to do it. You know, there are people who need money in their pockets . . . . This is another way to put money in the pockets of our local contractors and employees." His response to the issue of an ongoing lawsuit to stop the project is "The city gets sued all the time. If every time we got a lawsuit filed and we stopped a project, nothing would go forward."
And : State tourism agency pays to send visitors home (if they come here and don't have any plans, or lack resources to comply with the mandatory 14-day quarantine).
Let the nite sky provide some (much needed) perspective . . . even tho it be murky . . .
Stay well and take care (in this mad, mad world) . . .
