Warmer today and another day in the garden. 10 minutes after I started pruning (hacking) bushes I trod on an old piece of wood with screws sticking out. It went through my gardening shoes and into my foot. Ouch! Cleaned with salted water, plaster on and back to work I went. It’s quite sore but otherwise is ok.

Lucy took a delighted Ruby for a walk over the common. Although she waited until teatime hoping it would be quieter she said it was busy although people did keep their distance.
