People with Fluff in their Ears

A generally grey day today - drizzling or worse most of the time. Having promised myself that I'd go for a walk every day regardless of the weather I therefore donned full waterproofs and set off after lunch. Walking in light rain is OK when fully waterproofed and I went a different way to begin with just to make a change. I walked along the footpath known as Taylor's Brae from where you get a good view over the harbour and views beyond. I took an 'extra' picture of the finial thingy on the roof of the old Rockfield School to counteract the horrible picture I'm using as my Blip today!

This Blip was taken on Star Brae, another footpath, which links Rockfield Road and Combie Street, passing the Free Church at the top end. It could be a lovely walk down to the town but it's not - its a mess. This was a peep over the bank on a section where the fence has disappeared. I could take you to twenty similar places if it wasn't so depressing. On my way back through the town I sneaked up a couple of alleys between buildings to find piles of junk and rubbish tucked away there. Why do people do this? Is this happening in every town, or is Oban an exception? How can we get through to people? Grrr. I must find a nice quote to cheer me (and everyone else) up!

Quote of the Day:

A.A. Milne, ’Winnie the Pooh’ - “If the person you are talking to doesn’t appear to be listening, be patient. It may simply be that he has a small piece of fluff in his ear.”
