Morning break on the patio .....

..... with lovely buns/cupcakes kindly provided by the daughter of the family next door - a young woman who would normally be out socialising when not working extremely hard as a nursing assistant, but currently has so much time on her she is doing lots of baking.

By that time, we had done our exercise session (I had ridden my bike across a lovely bridge in Japan, accompanied by a trainer who urged me to greater effort) and already crossed another item off the to do list.  Visible in the photo are several more items from the list - sorting out the planter, sorting out the fish tank and repointing the patio paving - none of these have been tackled yet.  But we have continued to make gentle inroads on what has been a glorious sunny day.
