Ciao, Florida

Taken a little after 6:30 this morning as the sun was rising over the causeway. I propped my Nikon d90 with a 55mm lens on the railing of the deck and shot this with a very slow shutter and moderate aperture. Of the various shots, this was my favorite. As with the rest of this weeks blips, this is untouched and SOOC. (because I still haven't learned how to do any editing on the iPad - lol).

This is only the second time I've taken sunrise pics so any comments/suggestions would be VERY welcome! And thank you to Jensphotos for the helpful tips she's shared with me here on blip in response to some to my questions about her stunning sunrises/sets. I tried to incorporate your tips, Jenny!

So off to NJ this morning where the high temp is expected to be ...30 F. Yuck. No more beautiful big exotic birds...

Thank you for all the comments on my Royal Tern yesterday - he's not as glamorous as the spoonbill nor as majestic as the osprey or as comical is the pelicans, but he was a first for me and I thought he was adorable. And wait until you see some pics of him with his crazy hair do, ala Al Sharpton.
