Scarlett Orchid

It's a horrible wet day today, the rain is washing all the snow away, and to make it worse, I feel like I'm coming down with a cold/cough :-( So today is a day at home doing nothing, trying to shake it off - I'm flying back to the UK next Saturday to see my graddaughter, so need to make sure I'm fully recovered, otherwise I won't be able to go into the neo-natal unit to see her.

Blip buddy LoveMy3Dogs has given me a remedy to try which is a teaspoon of honey mixed with 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon taken twice a day - apparently both have antiviral, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, that help fight colds, so I'll give it a try!

So with the rain and my cold, I looked for an indoor blip today, and chose this lovely Orchid that my friend Bev bought me on Friday. It's to celebrate my birthday which is tomorrow and also the birth of Scarlett last week. She said she was looking for a scarlet coloured orchid and this one was as close as she could find - such a lovely thought and a very pretty colour, I love the patterns on the leaves, which look lovely viewed large.
