a lifetime burning

Rosemary Bee

Over the last couple of years we've really come to appreciate the importance of rosemary as a herb used in Italian cooking, partly thanks to Jamie Oliver's cooking with the Italian Nonnas.  As a result I now see the rosemary growing in the front garden as an essential resource rather than a slightly scrubby plant that has some pretty mauve flowers at this time of year.  This honey bee clearly also sees the rosemary as an essential resource.  I bet the honey from its hive tastes interesting as a result.

Its been another glorious day of sunshine here, with the temperature at that perfect point where its pleasant to sit out in a t-shirt and shorts, but not so hot that you start to feel uncomfortable, but if you do, there's a gentle cooling breeze as well.  Unfortunately not all the plants in the garden are enjoying the extended dry patch and Cathy has been muttering darkly about the drought as she tries to save her various plants from an untimely end.  Before you race to accuse us of wasting water, I would mention that we are actually recycling bath water for that purpose.

Robert (youoregon1) put down what he decided, on the spur of the moment, would be his  LockdownTop10. Its a really great idea and something I need to have a go at too.

I've not had the time or appetite yet today, as I've been spending it dealing with one of the banks that Dad uses as a result of action being taken by my my Step-Mother which was perhaps not unexpected but rather depressing as it does seem to indicate that she is rather more focused on maximising her personal financial gain rather than Dad's care.
