Busy Buzzy Bumble Bee

I headed over to see the folks again today, and things got off to a very grim start. On the walk to their house I noticed a dead animal on a green area. Closer investigation revealed it was a cat, which was very distressing - poor thing had clearly been hit by a car and either managed to drag itself onto the grass or more likely been moved there by the driver who hit it. I decided I should try to find its person so I spoke to a lady who owns a shop nearby. She and her husband thought they knew who it belonged to, and said if not she would post it on the local community page, so I left it to them.

I headed straight off to my Folks - all OK over there, and no shopping to fetch! There's no trains on Easter Monday so I'll next go on Tuesday, though I will give them a bell Saturday to check all is OK.

Once Jae had fetched me home and I'd made a major fuss of Minstrel, I nipped to the Post Office to pay money into the bank so I can pay a bill and got my exercise in the arbo, along with taking photos. I noticed lots of bumble bees around this pretty yellow plant! (I'm guessing these are bumble bees, not a different type?)

Now I'm just waiting for Paul to come so we can exchange Easter goodies quickly at the door and I think I'll get started cooking tea!
