Thursday: Veggies under the Damson Trees
Beautiful sunshine all day, time to wear a hat to protect the head.
Cleared the space between the winter veggies patch and the damson trees then emptied a whole bin of well rotted compost. Planted red veined sorrel, a year old cardoon, a few thousand headed kale which are bolting - pollinators will love the flowers!
Composted the dead seedlings and pots where weeds had taken over, plenty of empty pots now for transplanting.
Watered all the pots and veggie beds, plan on doing on alternate nights.
A few Climbing Spinach (Basella alba - green Malabar) have germinated & one courgette seedling sown about a month ago!
Our little neighbourhood did our clapping to thank NHS, 3rd time already ...
Stay healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
