Lost In A Book

Surprise "Happy Easter" gift from my parents

These came by Royal Mail this morning.

This was taken right after I'd taken them out of their box so they hadn't quite 'woken up' yet. My lack of floristry skills do not do them justice either.

Mam had found the company online (London based, I think) the other week. Last weekend it was her sister's golden wedding anniversary (my cousins had organised a party for them which, of course, had to be cancelled) so, not being able to go and seem them mam found this rather lovely florists. Not only are the flowers lovely but thought has been put into the packaging too. The ribbon around my vase was used to secure the bouquet to the box, there was also booklet that gave info on each of the flowers they'd picked as well as the best way to look after them.

Such a lovely thing to do.

They know I've not been doing so great lately - being in my own personal lockdown because I'm classed as 'vulnerable' has proved to be more challenging mentally than self-isolating through choice.
