Baby Moorhen

Couldn't believe it when this Moorhen chick appeared out of the reeds. Thought it was a tad early this year. Nature doesn't give a fig for Covid-19.
They are amazing little birds. Sometimes Moorhens nest in trees and the chicks jump out of the nest and can swim immediately within hours of hatching. A ball of fluff and look at that foot (Bigfoot?) lol
