St. Helen's Church in the snow ...
As this is probably the last snowy shot, for now at least, I went to Beamish Museum early this morning.
This is St. Helens, the old Parish church of Eston. It dates back to around 1100. In 1998, despite it being a Grade II listed building, permission was granted for its demolition until Beamish stepped in to rescue it for preservation. It was carefully deconstructed for rebuild on the Museum site. Reconstruction started in 2010 and still continues.
This shot was taken near to the Pockerley Wagonway. I will take more shots as the re-build continues, but I wanted to capture as much of the snow and glorious blue skies while they last ...
