Hard night

The boss has hurt his back and its frozen so very little sleep for either of us, so while I was waiting for the kettle to boil I snapped off a couple of shot, iI couldn't find the heat pack, but found a water bottle, that works just as well, rang the emergency number, and was advised to ring the surgery first thing.
It took a while to get Bruce into the car, its the first time we had an appointment held in the car park after, given Bruce a dose of morphine back home to bed, I went out again later for the pain pills, still waiting for them to kick in I think it's going to be another long night, the funny thing about this he doesn't remembers hurting himself but on saying that he does have a tricky back from an injury 20 years ago and always doing maintenance as we call it.
Oh well, only one way to go now and that's up.
