Tickled by a gecko
. . . makes this little one smile. Hope you do too when you see him. Everybody able to see the little gecko curled in the classic Jackson Chameleon pose? Put it in the thumbnail to help you. Didn't notice it til I saw him on the big screen, it blends in so well to the stone. Looks like a fun conversation they're having.
Spent all day helping my friend move things from her storage place into her new apt. Tomorrow morning we go over to create some order to those boxes so that the movers can bring over a truckload of the heavy stuff (beds, mattresses, wall mirror - and more boxes). Drive to storage, up floors, trailing dollies, sort and load up, navigate down floors, pile it all into the truck, drive to her new apt, consolidate to make as few trips upstairs as possible, back over to the storage locker, back up floors, trailing dollies, sort and load up, navigate down floors, pile it all into the truck, drive to her new apt, consolidate and off load, up to her new place, back down and over to the storage locker, up floors, trailing dollies, sort and load up, back down floors, pile it all into the truck, consolidate and off load to trollies, back up to her new place, passed boxes to her from front door, back down and over to the storage locker . . . well, you get the idea.
We made about five trips - my knee and back doth protest too much. A quick load of laundry done and hung out, dinner of leftovers, watched the 6PM TV news, make sure the alarm is set, blip, and off to bed. I'm knackered!
Morning newspaper headline : MAUI CLUSTER EMERGES
"Hawaii's first cluster of health care workers infected the virus was discovered on Maui, which also reported its second death within days.
The outbreak among front-line workers at Maui Memorial Medical Center, which did not require use of personal protective equipment for all employees, is what state health officials have been dreading.
The virus has spread among at least 15 health care workers via patients or other employees and as many as 500 more people may have been in direct contact with the workers . . . Eight of the 15 infected are connected to the oncology (cancer) ward . . ." Oh no
TV news : A new curfew on Oahu takes effect tomorrow for the Easter weekend. Curfew from 11PM until 5 AM, Friday, Sat, and Sun nites. Police will be cracking down, allowing only a few exceptions (medical, job travel). Stay-at-home is the message - no joy riding, no being on the beach, no one out, even walking, in those hours.
Police Chief clarified that being on the beach means you are able to walk across the closed park for access to the water, between waves and highwater mark on the beach, but basically IN the water, swimming, surfing, etc. - no sitting or standing to eat, beach blankets, family groups, even walking you will have to be moving, no stopping to admire. Boy, do I miss those waves.
Foodland, a large grocery store, made wearing masks mandatory, starting tomorrow, for all employees and shoppers in all of its stores.
Stay well and stay in,take care, everyone!
Didn't think anyone expected that when we changed the clocks, we'd go from Standard Time to the Twilight Zone. (heard from a friend)
