Slateford Aqueduct

Cycling today, for our daily exercise - out along my local canal, and then down to the Water of Leith Walkway and along the river for a bit ...

... the snap shows the river (The Water of Leith), with one of the Slateford Aqueduct arches some 75-feet above - there are eight arches in total, and they carry the Union Canal along for some 500-feet.

It's a wonderful 'junction' of two ribbons of water that run right across Edinburgh, both with footpaths/towpaths for their whole lengths - and one of my favourite spots in the City :-)
