We (my beloved) recently put up some fencing around our bird feeder to protect the squirrels from the fox that's been coming around.  

This has provided easy access for the squirrels to the bird feeder as demonstrated here and in the extra!  The extra shows this squirrel on the top of the fence just before the picture above!
