Lockdown - Day 21

This gorgeous warm weather (23 degrees, not bad for April!) has really brought out the Cherry Blossom in the garden. And it’s also brought out the neighbours and a strong community spirit. 

While mowing the front lawn, I had a long chat with our next door neighbour, who then fixed our vacuum and offered to post some letter for us. Another neighbour then turned up with an enormous bar of Easter choccie as a thank you for all the online shopping I’ve been doing for her. But the best neighbourly deed of the day came from our next door neighbour on the other side. Having three young children, they’d run out of bread so I left a loaf we had spare on their doorstep. A short while later, in return, she left the perfect thank you gift on my doorstep (1st extra). I must give her bread more often!!

Being Cocktail Friday, that thank you gift was soon put to good use. At 7pm it was still 20 degrees, so it was Bellinis in the garden, all round! (2nd extra)
