Common Pheasant

As I was passing a bush on today's walk, I heard a squawk, looked round and could see nothing. However as I walked on I glanced back and saw the most beautiful pheasant strutting across the path and disappeared into the rape. I was so amazed I did not even get my camera out but it was stunning! So, back home again, I got out our bird books, and this blip was the nearest I could find - however, 'my' pheasant was much more colourful!!
