Planting up.

We ordered some bedding plants and compost online from a local garden centre.  They are offering a contact free service.  And so, when we drew back the curtains this morning, there, on the front lawn, were all our plants; great quality and beautiful.  As the son of a head gardener and the husband of a horticultural goddess, these things excite me!  So we spent the day in the garden, heeling in the old daffs, pulling out the dead stuff from winter planting and putting in the new plants. It was warm enough to sit on the patio in between bouts of exertion and, on the final sitting, we enjoyed a small Kir, chataigne for madame and figue pour moi..
