Closed

Good Friday today so I wasn't working. Today my daily walk took me up to a very quiet Princes Street. I discovered that East Princes Street gardens were closed (and with some work still going on within them). West Princes Street Gardens were open, though with strict instructions about their use (see extra). I'm continually struck by just how quiet the city is at the moment and how much more birdsong I'm hearing as a result. I've never been aware of so many birds singing in Princes Street Gardens before. It's amazing just how much we normally don't hear above the usual traffic noise.
