Second in a Series 'From an Upstairs Window
This is the second in my series of twelve taken from and through an upstairs window. If I had thought about it earlier I would have taken this yesterday when it was still covered in snow. However, today is the designated day being the 27 of the month, so this is what you get. I am tagging them so that all twelve can be viewed together, once they have all been posted.
I took a variety of shots throughout the day, but chose this one partly because Florence was sitting on the wall in the sunshine. The sky was blue although this picture also shows some white, which is where the sun was shining. We had torrential rain all night and most of the snow has gone although there are still little patches around the perimeter of our garden.
Despite the sunshine the ice on the pond had not completely melted. In this picture, taken this morning at about 1030 hours, although not visible in the picture, a Moorhen had just walked across the ice; about twenty of the ducks have also reappeared.
