Cock-fight
I had planned my walk to take in as much un-bliiped local architecture of interest whilst adhering to latest guidelines to keep out of the parks. I opened the window to fit my mozzie screen so that the flat could benefit from insect-free fresh air during my absence and as I did so I spotted a vicious cock-fight taking place on Gerald's shelf.
I have grown rather fond of Gerald since I first blipped him four weeks ago. He has adopted that shelf as his personal roost and once I even spotted him arriving with a series of twigs. Not that that lasted very long at all. Now obviously I cannot be absolutely certain that it is always the same bird, but there are not many with such dark plumage and a few distinctive white flecks low down on the right side of his neck.
I have done a fair bit of pigeon-watching these last couple of years, but I have never witnessed a battle such as this. I found myself really hoping that Gerald would win. Eventually however I decided that a walk in the sunshine was better for me than watching this fight all the way to its finish.
Tomorrow the architecture will all still be exactly where it was today.
