Cinnabar moth.

I was chatting to my dad on the phone this morning and spotted this fine 'fella' sunning itself on the front wall of the house. I rushed out with the little compact camera, which does a reasonable job of macro and was quite pleased to get a snap of it. 

The irony of this is that today is the day that my new macro lens is to be delivered, in fact it has been delivered, see extra. It has been named the 'lockdown lens'. Seeing as though I can't get far and wide I thought I'd take a 'closer' look of where I can go. Plus, macro is a real skill to learn and do properly. I imagine there's a lot of us turning to macro these days?
