Day 22 Stick with it

Rainbows have been popping up in windows everywhere as a symbol of hope through this pandemic. Children have also been making stick men to encourage everyone to 'Stick with it' and to stick to the lockdown rules which has become a particularly important message over the bank holiday weekend and during the warm weather. We found this lovely one on our walk this evening.
I did the usual this morning and also ordered a new Roman blind and some paint as I want to decorate the utility room next week.
I found out this afternoon that one of my neighbours sadly died of pneumonia earlier this week. He had had a heart condition for a few years but wasn't that old. Every year we sent each other Christmas cards that had the same at the top and at the bottom as we shared the same names and both had boys. RIP Chris.
More sad news in the press were that there were another 917 hospital deaths from coronavirus. On a positive note they think that the rate of new infections is slowing down.
